Bulletin board rules
The noticeboard is for classified ads between private individuals in Cádiz. Posting an ad implies accepting these rules.
What can be posted
Ads from individuals: buying and selling, rentals, business transfers, lost items, one-off services between neighbors.
If you sell as a business or a professional, you can post by ticking «Business»: we will ask you for your business details and buyers will see them in the ad. To advertise your business on the portal, write to us at hola@cadizya.com.
How to write an ad
- Don't write in capital letters or use symbols, repeated emojis or decorations to stand out from others. If you want your ad to stand out, ask us about featuring it; filling it with asterisks just makes it harder to read.
- Don't repeat the same ad. One per item you're selling.
- You don't need to include your phone number: anyone interested writes to you from the “Contact” button and you reply.
- Describe what you're selling as it is. If it has a flaw, say so: it saves you pointless visits.
What is not allowed
- Illegal content, or the sale of items that cannot be sold.
- Insults, threats, sexual or discriminatory content.
- Personal data of third parties without their consent.
- Scams, chain messages, miracle cryptocurrencies, and job offers that ask for money upfront.
- Business ads disguised as private ones.
How long it lasts and how to remove it
Ads expire on their own once their period is over. If you sell before then, remove it yourself from My ads: it only takes a click and stops people from calling you.
Moderation
Ads are reviewed before they are published, but what each one says is the responsibility of whoever publishes it. CádizYa takes no part in the deals and is not responsible for what is advertised, its accuracy or the outcome of the transaction.
If an ad breaks these rules or is illegal or inappropriate, we remove it and tell you why. If you disagree, reply to that email or write to us at hola@cadizya.com and someone else will review it. Anyone can report an ad using the button on it.
What data we keep when you publish
Along with the ad, we keep the IP address it was published from and the date. It's not to bother anyone: it's what allows action to be taken if someone uses the board to scam or harass, and to respond to a legal request if one arrives.
- What for: preventing fraudulent use and being able to handle legal requests.
- Legal basis: our legitimate interest in keeping the service safe.
- How long: the IP address, 12 months from publication; the browser and other technical details, 6 months. After that they are deleted automatically, unless a court or the police have requested them earlier for a specific post.
- Who sees it: no one else. The IP is not shown on the website or shared with third parties.

Tips to avoid a bad experience
- It stays in a public place, out in the open.
- Be wary of anyone who wants to overpay, or who asks for money upfront.
- Check what you're buying before paying. No one in a rush for you not to look it over is doing you a favor.
- Be careful with shipping and transfers to strangers outside Cádiz.
