The Culture Department of Algeciras City Council has organised a programme featuring a talk on active ageing, a children's workshop at the Cristóbal Delgado Library and a comedy show at the Teatro Florida, as well as several open exhibitions.

Algeciras's cultural programme for the coming days begins on Thursday, October 15 at six in the afternoon with the talk-discussion «Hablemos de salud: envejecimiento activo», promoted by AEPA within its collaboration agreement with the City Council. A gerontologist and specialists in nutrition, dietetics, psychopathology and health will take part.
Children's workshop and comedy
On Friday, October 16, from five to seven thirty in the afternoon, the Biblioteca Municipal Cristóbal Delgado hosts the children's workshop «Recordando a Pinocho», organised by the Delegación Municipal de Cultura through the library on the occasion of Library Day 2026.
On Saturday, October 17, at eight thirty in the evening, the Teatro Florida will host «Noche de Comedia», a comedy and monologue show presented by Juanma Lara, with guest artists Miguel Ángel Martín, Vivy Lin, Fran Sánchez and Manuel Dlola.
Open exhibitions
In parallel, several exhibitions remain open to the public. The Edificio Guillermo Pérez Villalta hosts the permanent exhibition «Zodíaco», by Guillermo Pérez-Villalta. The Museo de la Navegación, in the Capilla del Cristo de la Alameda, houses the temporary exhibition «Imágenes del Estrecho», from the collection of Antonio Viñas de Roa.
The Centro Documental «José Luis Cano», in the «Javier Muñoz» room, hosts the group exhibition «Otra forma de mirar», by APADIS Bahía de Algeciras, which ends today, October 12. The Museo Municipal houses «Caminos de papel», by Ana Sánchez Trujillo, which can be visited until November 6.

The programme is promoted by the Delegación de Cultura, led by the deputy mayor Pilar Pintor.
