Almost 6,000 people have already signed up for the XII Carrera Cádiz en Marcha Contra el Cáncer, which takes place on Sunday, November 15. The start will be at 11.00 hours from the Plaza de la Estrella, next to the beach of Santa María del Mar, and the route will be seven kilometres that can be done running or walking. The event is not competitive. It is open to anyone who wants to collaborate against cancer, no matter how long it takes them to complete the route.

Registration and prices

The deadline to sign up remains open until the same day of the race. It is done through the march's registration page. It costs 10 euros for adults and 5 euros for children under 12. The Ayuntamiento de Cádiz and the Asociación Española Contra el Cáncer presented the event this Thursday. At the event, the organisation gave the mayor, Bruno García, the number one race bib. The councillor for Sports, Carlos Lucero, has pointed out that this is the sports event that brings together the most participants of all those held in the city. The provincial president of the association, Laura Bahamonde García, explained that «in this race the stopwatch doesn't matter, what matters is that we patients can feel people's affection and that the activity we carry out from the association is made visible». The managing director of Guadalete Motor Hyundai, Luis de los Reyes, sponsor of the event, was also present at the presentation.

Shall we let you know what matters?
