Nineteen bars in El Puerto serve their autumn tapa from November 4 to 8

From Wednesday, November 4 to Sunday, November 8, anyone who wants to eat tapas in El Puerto de Santa María has an appointment spread across 19 establishments. It is the IV Ruta de la Tapa «Muerde el otoño», organized by the Asociación de Hosteleros y Empresarios del Casco Histórico (AHECO) with the collaboration of the Ayuntamiento. Each venue offers a tapa created only for this route, with prices ranging from 3.50 to 6.70 euros. Among the proposals there is everything from a piquillo pepper stuffed with red tuna stewed in amontillado to a butter ice cream with almond cookie, piñonate and pistachio, including a squid taco with pumpkin cream or an Andalusian-style carrillada.

The 19 venues are marked with a color: green, violet or blue. To enter the draw for 500 euros you must collect stamps from three establishments of different colors and from one in white. You can repeat color, but not establishment. The vote is deposited in the ballot box that each participating business has set up for this purpose. In addition, the organization will award three first prizes decided by a jury, one for each criterion: innovation, creativity and flavor. There is a fourth first prize that comes from the customers' votes. This year, as detailed by the president of AHECO, José Antonio Paguillo, there is a QR code that allows you to consult all the tapas on the route. The presentation of this fourth edition took place on calle Luna, with the teniente de alcalde de Comercio y Hostelería, David Calleja, who stressed that the public will be able to taste a creative tapa at interesting prices. To participate in the draw you must get stamps at three establishments of different colors and at one in white and deposit the vote in the venue's ballot box. The route can be done from November 4 to 8.
