The World Travel Market (WTM) in London opens its doors from Tuesday, November 3 to Thursday, November 5, and the province of Cádiz is represented by the Provincial Tourism Board of the Diputación de Cádiz together with 17 companies and tourism offices from municipalities of Cádiz. The delegation occupies stand Andalucía S2-210 at the ExCeL exhibition centre. Among the participating companies are Go Windy, Wavyssa, Iberostar Hotel & Resorts, Windfuel Tarifa, Desarrollos de Restauración Temática Ossa, Hotel Las Cortes de Cádiz, Mirador de Las Cortes, Franquicias de la Bahía de Jerez, Comunicarsur Media and Crefondue. Joining them are the Chambers of Commerce of Cádiz and Jerez de la Frontera, the Port Authority of the Bay of Algeciras, Horeca and the town councils of Conil de la Frontera, La Línea de la Concepción, San Roque and Tarifa, with their respective technical representatives. The Board has scheduled more than a dozen technical meetings with suppliers and sector agents, as well as institutional events with representatives of the main tourism companies, as detailed by the Diputación de Cádiz.

The weight of the British visitor

British tourism is the second international market for the province. According to data from the Instituto Nacional de Estadística (INE) collected by the Plataforma de Inteligencia Turística (PIT), in 2025 more than 118,000 British tourists stayed in hotels and apartments in the province, totalling almost 390,000 overnight stays. These figures place the British market as the third by volume, behind domestic and German tourism. The direct air connection between several cities in the United Kingdom and the airport of Jerez de la Frontera, operated by Jet2 since last year, links Jerez with Birmingham, Leeds, Manchester and London. In the first half of 2026, PIT data reflect the historic maximum of tourists and overnight stays from the United Kingdom. WTM is one of the three main tourism fairs in the world. The organisation estimates that more than 46,000 professionals attended in 2025 and that more than 5,000 destinations were promoted by 4,000 exhibitors.
