The Chipiona Town Council has held an extraordinary and urgent plenary session in which several budget modifications were approved. Two of them will serve to acquire and supply computer equipment to the Consistory. The third will finance the works to adapt and fit out the municipal Playas warehouse.

What has been approved

The two computer equipment proposals, promoted by the IT Department, are financed with extraordinary credits that come from cancelling or removing other budget items. They correspond to files 23/2026 and 26/2026. The Playas one, presented by that department, is funded from the Municipal Land Patrimony. The first three items on the agenda went ahead with the favourable votes of the Partido Popular, Unidos por Chipiona and Izquierda Unida. Vox and PSOE abstained.

Changes to the ordinances

The plenary session also approved the 2027 modification of the ordinances regulating the non-tax public patrimonial benefits of the purification and sewerage and discharge services. In both cases, the initiatives from the Finance Department had the favourable vote of the government team; Vox and Partido Popular voted against and PSOE abstained. The last item was the approval of Fiscal Ordinance number 39, which regulates the rate for vehicle parking on municipal public roads under a time-limited and controlled regime. It repeals the previous ordinance regulating the non-tax public patrimonial benefit for this same service. The proposal went ahead with the favourable votes of the government team, while Vox, Partido Popular and PSOE abstained.
