The Circuito Diputación de Cádiz de Senderismo 2026 faces its first autumn event this Saturday, October 24. The route starts at the Los Llanos del Campo recreational area, at kilometre 37 of the A-372 road, on the stretch linking Benamahoma with Grazalema, and ends at the Plaza de Toros de El Bosque. The route covers about 13 kilometres and is linear. Participant check-in is set for 10:30 and the start at 11:00. The finish is expected around 16:00, with stops and lunch on the route included in that time. The Federación Andaluza de Deportes de Montaña, Escalada y Senderismo (FADMES) rates the difficulty as medium and recommends it for people used to walking in the mountains.

What to bring

The federation requires mountain footwear, whether boots or trail shoes. It also asks people to carry at least 1.5 litres of water per person and sun protection.

The other two autumn routes

The circuit is completed with two more outings. The one at El Palancar, in Los Barrios, is set for November 7 and the organisation has classified it as family hiking. The one at La Toleta, in Puerto Serrano, will be held on November 22. In the event of heavy rain or active alerts, the organisation may modify or suspend the activity for safety reasons. In spring, three other routes were held in the Cádiz part of the circuit: the Monarch Butterfly route on April 18, with 200 participants; the Las Fuentes route, in Algodonales, on May 16, with 132 hikers; and one through the Parque Natural de La Breña on June 6, with 160 athletes and participation from other Andalusian provinces and from Extremadura.

How to sign up

Registration is done through the circuit form. It costs 6 euros for people affiliated with FADMES and 9 euros for those not affiliated. The route can be done independently, without having taken part in the previous ones. For more information, the Cádiz delegation of FADMES offers it on its website. The series is organised by the Servicio de Deportes de la Diputación Provincial de Cádiz, under the second vice-president, Javier Vidal, together with FADMES, which handles registrations and the classification. It is the first time the Diputación has included hiking in its Circuitos Deportivos programme.
