The Port of Cádiz receives two cruise ships this Tuesday, October 20, after the Arvia cancelled its call. The ship, which was going to dock at the Alfonso XIII quay between 07:30 and 17:00 with 5,627 passengers on board, will finally not reach the city, according to updated data from Cádiz City Council.

The two ships that are docking

The Norwegian Dawn is the first to arrive. It is scheduled to dock at the Alfonso XIII quay at 07:00 and to leave at 19:30. It carries 2,347 passengers, with the United States as the most represented nationality. The Bolette arrives later and docks at the Ciudad quay. Its arrival is scheduled for 11:00 and its departure for 23:00. On board are 1,179 passengers, mostly from the United Kingdom.

Fewer passengers than at the weekend

With the cancellation of the Arvia, the day leaves 3,526 cruise passengers in the city. It is a lower figure than that of the previous weekend, when the Island Princess and the Norwegian Star added more than 5,000 passengers over two days, as this portal reported on October 17. The City Council had already announced on Monday, October 19, the arrival of the three ships. The cancellation of the Arvia has been communicated in this Tuesday's update.

Who it affects

The arrival of cruise ships has an effect on the shops and hospitality businesses in the centre, which receive visitors during the docking hours. The two ships arriving this Tuesday remain in the city until night: the Norwegian Dawn leaves at 19:30 and the Bolette at 23:00.
