The San Roque City Council has scheduled the play "Interview with my daughter Mari", by Antonia San Juan, as part of the events for 25N, International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women. The performance will be at the Teatro Juan Luis Galiardo at 20.00 hours.
According to the City Council, the show mixes comedy with cabaret airs and offers a critique of patriarchy and of machismo assumed as something natural. The play recreates the story of a woman who experiences violence in the privacy of the home.
The authorship is by Antonia San Juan herself and Felix Sabroso, and the direction is by Antonia San Juan, who shares the stage with Yeyo Bayeyo.
