Chipiona exhibits 34 Carnival 2027 posters from November 6

Thirty-four posters are competing to be the image of the Chipiona 2027 Carnival and can be seen at Sala Espacio Vacío between November 6 and 15. The exhibition brings together part of the 46 works submitted to the competition, as announced by the Festivities delegate, Francisco Javier Query. The shortlist is not an arbitrary decision. The room, located in the Casa Manolo-Peña El Chusco, has capacity for 34 works, so the jury has had to make a prior preselection among the 46 entries received. The competition rules contemplate this possibility: «the Festivities Delegation, if it deemed it appropriate, and given the possibility that there may be many participating works, could carry out a prior selection», Query explained. The winner will receive a prize of 1,000 euros and their poster will become the official image announcing the Chipiona 2027 Carnival. The decision will be announced days after the opening of the exhibition, when the jury finishes evaluating the works already hung in the room.

The 46 works submitted represent, according to the Festivities delegate, a high participation in the competition. Query has expressed satisfaction both with the figure reached and with the quality of the works received. The competition thus reaches its final phase with more originals than the room can hang. Anyone who wants to see the exhibition will have to do so between November 6 and 15 at Sala Espacio Vacío, in the Casa Manolo-Peña El Chusco.
