Puerto Real installs inclusive play equipment and sports apparatus in five spaces

The parks and squares of Puerto Real are gaining new children's play equipment, outdoor exercise machines and street furniture these days. Work has already begun and is spread across five locations in the municipality: the Agnes Reston and Batalla del Trocadero parks and the one next to the Centro Cívico del Río San Pedro, the Paseo Marítimo park (next to IES La Jarcia) and the plaza Meadero de la Reina. In the Agnes Reston park, a combined inclusive play unit with tower, platform and slide is being installed, along with a double spring rocker and a double swing with an inclusive seat. Another swing with an inclusive seat is planned for the park next to the Centro Cívico del Río San Pedro. For outdoor exercise, a set of DUCG 2002 training bars has been installed in the Batalla del Trocadero park and on the Paseo Marítimo, and a DUCG 2006 set in the plaza Meadero de la Reina. In the Batalla del Trocadero park, a rope pyramid for children under four, two litter bins and two metal goals have also already been put in place. In the plaza Meadero de la Reina, four benches approximately 1.80 metres long have been placed. The work is being carried out by the contracted company Reparaciones Paycar, S.L. According to the councillor for Infrastructures, Antonio Gil, this equipment «will help to modernise and complement the existing infrastructures, offering more attractive, accessible and functional spaces for residents of all ages». At the same time, the municipal Maintenance Brigade is placing benches, picnic tables, fences and other street furniture items at various points, as reported by the Ayuntamiento de Puerto Real.
