The Salón de Plenos of the Ayuntamiento de Chiclana now shows the 19 panels that decorate its walls after the work on the project 'Alegorías y Visiones de Chiclana' has finished. The work has involved an investment of 52.978,64 euros charged to the Municipio Turístico subsidy.

There are 19 vertical panels, two of them secondary and very narrow, distributed over the three walls of the hall. Almost all are 3,3 metres high and together they add up to 86 square metres of painted canvas. The mayor of Chiclana, José María Román, has checked the result on site. As he has indicated, the aim is to make the Salón de Plenos «a friendlier and more pleasant place, that people want to visit». Román has pointed out that after the renovation of the Ayuntamiento building and the work in other rooms, the Salón de Plenos remained to be ennobled, and he has thanked the artists for their work. The artist José Luis Díaz de la Torre has explained that he was looking for a «more emotive and more emotional» image of Chiclana, «so that each person can find something in these works». He has also thanked the mayor for his involvement, whom he has described as «the driving force behind this initiative».
