El Puerto businesses hand out sweets on the October 31 «Truco o trato» route

Seventeen establishments in El Puerto de Santa María take part on the afternoon of Saturday, October 31 in the traditional «Truco o trato» route, in which children receive sweets in the participating shops. The Fiestas department provides the sweets.
The children of El Puerto de Santa María will once again have their own particular Halloween route. On the afternoon of Saturday, October 31, anyone who wants to take part can visit the shops taking part in the «Truco o trato» initiative and receive sweets as a gift at each of them.
Seventeen shops give out sweets
There are 17 establishments that have joined the proposal. The Fiestas department of the City Council provides the sweets, although each business can add as many as it sees fit. Coordination is handled by Laura Portillo, owner of «Antojitos Eventos», as explained by the deputy mayor of Fiestas, David Calleja.

More Halloween activities
The route is part of the special programme that the Fiestas department is preparing for Halloween. Among the events already announced is the musical «Club de Villanos», which will be held in the Plaza Isaac Peral on Friday, October 30 from 19:00, as indicated by Calleja.
What you have to do to take part
No registration is needed: just go on the afternoon of Saturday, October 31 to any of the 17 shops on the list and ask for the sweets.
