Rota brings together four businesswomen on Saturday the 24th to promote new businesses
The workshop 'Impulsando el emprendimiento femenino' is held on Saturday, October 24, at the Castillo de Luna, with registration open. Four projects from Rota will explain how they launched their businesses and how they made them grow.
Women from Rota who want to start a business or take a further step in the one they already have have an appointment on Saturday, October 24. That day the workshop 'Impulsando el emprendimiento femenino' is held at the Palacio Municipal Castillo de Luna, organized by the Delegación de Igualdad del Ayuntamiento and Frauenalia, with the collaboration of the Asociación Profesional Mujeres Imparables.
The activity lasts four hours and is designed to work on one's own ideas, detect opportunities, set the next steps and meet other women with the same concerns. Registration is still open.
Four local businesses
The highlight of the day is a panel in which four business initiatives from Rota will tell their story, the difficulties they have encountered and the decisions that have allowed them to move forward.
- Olimpia Valls Jerez, from La Fábrica de Oli, linked since youth to the family ice cream shop and trained with master ice cream makers in Italy.
- Elena Sánchez, founder of Opuntia, a landscaping and sustainable green areas company that she launched more than twenty years ago and that today has a team of more than 40 professionals.
- Olga Rodríguez Herrera and Sonia Acuña Beltrán, from the Gabinete Psicopedagógico Capaces, awarded in 2021 with the Premio Rota Emprende Joven.
- Jimena Lucentini, from MasQguapas Modas, a women's fashion business born in 2015 that has grown above all in e-commerce.
The workshop is led by Begoña de la Marta, founder of Frauenalia, consultant and business mentor. The day is presented under the motto «Mujeres que crean su propio camino: emprende, avanza, conecta».
