The four cemeteries in San Roque will have special continuous opening hours from 8.00 to 18.00 from October 26 to November 2, both days included. During that period they will not close at midday, according to the deputy mayor for Works and Services, Belén Jiménez. The measure aims to make access easier for relatives in a staggered way and to extend visiting possibilities at a time when visits to cemeteries multiply.

Work at the four cemeteries

Works and Services staff are getting the cemeteries in the municipality ready before the feast of All Saints and All Souls. The work is being carried out these days at the four cemeteries in the municipality. The tasks consist of removing as many architectural barriers as possible before November 1 and 2. Jiménez explained that ramps are being built and areas created so that lifting machinery can turn more easily. The aim is to improve the work of cemetery staff, such as gravediggers, caretakers and maintenance workers. Pruning work is also being carried out, for which the councillor thanked the coordination between the Works and Services and Parks and Gardens departments.
