Among the additions to the lineup is Baile Entero, the project of composer Pablo Martín Jones with the El Puerto brothers Pedro and Esteban Perles, former members of LedaTres. GROAL, the power trio of Alejandro García, Bacca, known for Derby Motoreta's Burrito Kachimba, and the Cádiz native Sardiné, linked to electronic experimentation, also join.
Monkey PRO and Suntracks
The professional side of the festival, Monkey PRO, also reaches its 18th edition with round tables, workshops, presentations, listening sessions and working meetings. It will host the IV Congress of Live Music Festivals, promoted by FMA, with four round tables on exclusivity clauses, licenses, financing and the festival pact against sexual violence and hate crimes.
Suntracks, the meeting of international music supervisors with labels, publishers and authors, will have the support of Fundación SGAE and ICEX and will bring together professionals from the United States, Europe and Latin America.
Concert in the penitentiary center
Monkey Week will maintain its collaboration with the Centro Penitenciario Puerto I, where Javi Medina will offer an acoustic concert for the inmates. In addition, the Fundación Music For All will give a workshop on accessible productions and the singer Laura Diepstraten will offer a showcase.
The deputy mayor of Culture, Enrique Iglesias, has stated that the festival "turns our city into a meeting place for artists, professionals and the public."
