29-N general election in Cádiz How to vote, the calendar and every result since 1977

Campo de Gibraltar

Eight municipalities between the Rock, the Strait and Los Alcornocales: 280,898 people living with one foot in Europe and their eyes on Africa.

The border today

No passport checks

Since July 15, 2026 the treaty between the European Union and the United Kingdom on Gibraltar has been provisionally applied: there are no passport checks at the border fence. Spain carries out the Schengen checks at Gibraltar's port and airport.

Before it fully enters into force, it still needs the vote of the European Parliament.
