Plaza de la Torre de Guzmán in Conil de la Frontera hosts a new Saborea tu Provincia event on Saturday, October 24, from 12:00 with free entry, featuring stands, tastings and live cooking.
Conil de la Frontera celebrates a new date of the Saborea Cádiz, Saborea tu Provincia programme this Saturday, October 24, a free-entry day at Plaza de la Torre de Guzmán that starts at 12:00 and brings together around thirty small producers from the province. The event reaches its third edition and is promoted by the Centro Europeo de Empresas e Innovación (CEEI) Bahía de Cádiz, with funding from the Diputación de Cádiz and the collaboration of the Ayuntamiento de Conil.
What you will find
Visitors will be able to discover and buy cheeses, wines, oils, honeys, craft beers, salts, preserves, sauces, bakery and pastry products, among other products made in various municipalities of Cádiz. There will be producer stands, live cooking demonstrations, talks, music and vehicles with full kitchens to prepare food and drink.
Among the participants are companies from Jerez de la Frontera, the Sierra de Cádiz region, Vejer de la Frontera, Medina Sidonia, Sanlúcar de Barrameda, Rota, Trebujena, Tarifa, San Fernando, El Puerto de Santa María, Puerto Real and Chiclana de la Frontera, as well as several firms from the host municipality itself, Conil.
Live cooking
One of the highlights will be the live demonstration by chef Francisco Guzmán, from the Escuela de Hostelería de la Fundación Osborne, who will prepare a sourdough toast with Conil pisto and Cádiz cheeses.
According to the CEEI, this edition aims to focus not only on the quality and diversity of Cádiz products, but also on the stories of the people, the effort and the tradition behind each one of them. The Diputación de Cádiz considers the agri-food sector strategic for the provincial economy.
How to take part
The day is open to companies, residents and visitors, with free entry and no need to register in advance. It starts at 12:00 at Plaza de la Torre de Guzmán in Conil de la Frontera.
The Diputación's Planning, Coordination and Strategic Development area, led by fourth vice-president Germán Beardo, supports this event, with further actions expected before the end of the year.
