El Puerto guides an international motorcycle tourism group through its heritage

Between 30 and 40 people from the FIM Mototour of Races, linked to the Superbikes World Championship in Jerez, have toured the historic centre and the El Puerto de los Cargadores a Indias Interpretation Centre during their stop in the city.

El Puerto de Santa María has hosted a new stop of the FIM Mototour of Races, an activity organised for the International Motorcycling Federation (FIM) and linked to the Superbike World Championship held in Jerez until October 20. The group is made up of between 30 and 40 people linked to the world of motorcycling, who over six days combine VIP access to the races with motorcycle routes and guided visits.
Visits in English around the historic centre
In El Puerto, the participants have visited the Centro de Interpretación El Puerto de los Cargadores a Indias, in the Palacio de Araníbar, with a guided visit in English. Afterwards they walked around the historic centre with a Tourism guide and finished at the Plaza Isaac Peral, opposite the Ayuntamiento.
The deputy mayor for Tourism and City Promotion, Olga de Navas, has stated that the aim is for those who come attracted by a major competition to also discover the history, heritage and gastronomy of the city. According to her, those arguments can turn a first visit into a desire to return.
Recording for international broadcast
The activities of each day are recorded on video to be broadcast afterwards outside Spain, which, according to the Ayuntamiento, broadens the city's tourist visibility. The Consistorio also highlights that the event strengthens its collaboration with the Club Mototurismo Deportivo Andaluz, chaired by José Carlos Copete Sánchez, after the Ruta de los Almorávides of 2025.
The institutional reception was held in the Salón Mudéjar of the Palacio de Araníbar, headquarters of the Concejalía de Turismo.
