Jerez celebrates Halloween with a programme that starts this Sunday, October 25, and runs until Sunday, November 1. The City Council and the Asociación de Comerciantes del Centro (Acoje) have organised activities for all ages, with the main focus on Friday, October 30, and Saturday, October 31.

What you can do and where

On Sunday, October 25, the Centro Social de La Granja hosts the musical show El Club de los Villanos. The same show is repeated on Thursday, October 29, at 18.00 hours, at the Centro Social Blas Infante, and on Saturday, October 31, at 17.00 hours, at La Barca de la Florida. The youth department sets up the horror passage El callejón del último grito in the plaza del Arenal, which can be visited on Friday, October 30, and Saturday, October 31. On Saturday, October 31, at 18.00 hours, the Banda Municipal de Música offers a concert in the plaza del Arenal with pieces such as «Coco Remember», «Pesadilla antes de Navidad» and «El rey de la montaña». It is aimed at children and families, with free admission until full capacity is reached. That same day, from 19.00 hours, a themed parade will tour different areas of Jerez and end at the plaza del Arenal. On Sunday, November 1, the Zoobotánico de Jerez celebrates its special day between 10.00 and 18.00 hours, with a terrifying welcome, horror passage, human table football, talks, stories and magic shows.

Shopping and autumn products

On Friday, October 30, Acoje organises tastings of traditional sweets, musical entertainment, a costume contest, children's make-up and a candy route through the participating shops. The face-painting area operates from 18.00 to 22.00 hours and the establishments hand out sweets to the children who take part. The shop windows in the centre will have special decorations. The programme includes stalls with typical autumn products, with nuts and fruit shops, from chestnuts to seasonal fruit, linked to Jerez's status as gastronomic capital in 2026.

Who organises it

The presentation was attended by the deputy mayor for Coordination of Public Services, Jaime Espinar; the councillor for Commerce and Consumer Affairs, Nela García; the councillor for Citizen Participation and Youth, Carmen Pina; the councillor for Culture and Festivities, Francisco Zurita, and, on behalf of Acoje, Alberto de la Villa. Espinar noted that the aim is for «the youngest, young people and families to find alternatives to have fun» and for the celebration to help boost trade in the centre.
